Bristol Aquarium is providing alternative Halloween decorations for its tropical displays –rathe than pumpkins, the aquarium has opted for carved pineapples.
The Harbourside attraction has created its own versions of SpongeBob SquarePants’ unique underwater home as special fruity fishy treats. However these spooky treats seem to be a little intimidating for the fish who have been giving them a wide berth.
Bristol Aquarium’s Hannah Worrall said: “We wanted to come up with something a bit different for Halloween this year so, rather than carving pumpkins, we opted for pineapples instead. The initial idea came from SpongeBob SquarePants pineapple house in Bikini Bottom. We had hoped the fish would venture inside and graze on the fruit, but so far they seem to be a little wary of them."
Keeping in with the Halloween theme, the aquarium is also running a series of frighteningly fun activities over the October half term holidays including a Toxic Trail, foul fish dissection, sticky and slimy touch sections and after dark torchlit tours.
