Blackpool’s Grand Theatre is offering an exclusive opportunity to 20 children (between the ages of 8 and 15). The Russian State Ballet of Siberia will be teaching an exclusive ballet class on 12th January at 3pm.
Formed in 1981, the Russian State Ballet & Orchestra of Siberiahas now established itself as one of Russia’s leading ballet companies and has built an international reputation for delivering performances of outstanding quality and unusual depth. Both the soloists and the corps de ballet have been highly praised by critics, and never fail to delight audiences with their breath-taking ability and dazzling costumes.
Blackpool’s Grand will present three works with the Russian State Ballet & Orchestra of Siberia including; The Snow Maiden, The Nutcracker and Swan Lake (Fri 12 to Sun 14 January 2018).
Blackpool Grand Theatre Marketing Manager Andrew Howard said; ‘This is an incredible ballet experience. We are asked all the time by young people and their parents if opportunities like this are possible. Unfortunately, they are very limited due to the running times of the shows, but the Russian State Ballet of Siberia agreed to make themselves available for this unique opportunity. A free opportunity to work with such a world-renowned company is a delight for us offer.
This outstanding company amaze and delight every year we love having them back and we know the audiences do too.
We have worked with the company to create this ballet experience, an exclusive one-off chance for local young people to warm up with this Russian ballet company. Only through donations to the theatre is it possible for us to continue to offer such free opportunities to the young community.’
The participants will also be invited to observe the Russian State BalletClass starting at 4pm from the auditorium.
